FAQ

What is your minimum age when accepting a dog for boarding or daycare?
As always, our primary concern is the welfare of the dogs in our care. It is generally recommended that puppies be a minimum of 4 months old and received the last series of their adult vaccinations.
What types of animals are welcome at your boarding facility?
We welcome dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds! Whether you need to board a kitten, puppy, full-grown dog or adult cat, you can be sure that your pet is in good hands here. Our dogs and cats are kept in separate facilities so that cats can enjoy the peace and quiet they tend to prefer for a more relaxing stay.
Does Paws in the Park accept all breeds of dog?
Yes, we love all dogs and do not discriminate based on breed, age, alteration or size.
How often in advance should I book my pet’s stay?
As soon as practicable. While we are a large boarding facility, we do fill up, especially during holidays.
Do I need to bring my dog on a leash?
Yes. For everyone’s safety, we require all dogs on a leash or slip lead with a collar/harness both in our parking lot and our lobby.  All dogs need to have a buckle collar as well.
Can I bring my dog’s own bed?
Sure. We’re happy to have your dog sleep on his or her bed when they’re with us if it makes them feel more comfortable.
What times can I drop off and pick up my dog?
Please contact us for information on drop-off and pick-up times.
If my dog is staying at Paws in the Park, can I get them groomed as well?
Yes, while we are not groomers, we do offer grooming services such as bathe, ear cleaning, anal gland expressions and nail trims.
Do you feed your Guests in the morning or evening?
We provide breakfast and dinner every day for each Guest unless otherwise instructed (i.e. only once a day* or three times a day).
My dog has special needs. Can you administer medications?
Yes, our staff has been trained to administer medication including insulin.
My pets like to have toys with them. Can they have their favorite toys while boarding with you?
Absolutely. Your dog can have their favorite toy in his/her suite during their boarding stay. However, we do not allow toys in the play areas where dogs can sometimes become aggressive if they haven’t learned to share.
My dog is on a special diet. Can I bring in my own food?
Of course. We actually encourage pet parents to bring their dog’s normal food with them when they come to the hotel. If you cannot or would rather not supply your own food, or if we run out of your dog’s food while you’re away, we’ll be happy to accommodate your dog by feeding him or her with our house food.
How do you keep your facility clean?
Cleaning up after dogs is a dirty job, but we do it throughout the day! We utilize environmentally friendly solutions and remove any elimination as soon as it is observed. We strive to keep our facility sanitary and odor free.
Do you have someone on site 24 hours?
The owners of the facility, Kyle and Sammi, live on site.
What happens when a pet becomes ill?
If at all possible, we will take your dog to your vet within a 6 mile radius of our facility during their normal business hours.
Can all of my dogs stay together in the same suite?
Yes. We find that dogs from the same home usually do better when they stay with their siblings or buddies.
Do you give discounts for multiple pets?
Discounts are offered when multiple pets share the same suite.
While my dog is boarding with you, will they be taken out for walks?
Walks are available for a small added fee.
Is your kennel air-conditioned?
Yes; it is climate controlled so all animals remain comfortable year round.
